WHO cut the heads off the angels in Bramford Church?
Who destroyed 61 pictures in Sproughton Church?
Who took down three crosses from the steeple at Claydon Church?
A talk revealing the culprit will be given at St Mary's Church in Bramford next month in aid of the church tower.
Earlier the Evening Star revealed Rev Canon Roger Dedman had launched an urgent appeal to repair the buttress supporting the historic tower, which is in danger of falling down.
Rev Dedman has already called a halt to bell-ringing and the area beneath the tower is to be fenced off because of the danger of falling masonry.
The buttress did collapse in July, 1950, just before Rev Beal, the vicar at the time, was about to launch an appeal.
Bramford historian Beryl Sims, said: "We need the money urgently because we don't want this to happen again."
The talk will be held on Tuesday, July 16, at 7.30 pm. There will be no admission charge but donations towards the restoration of the tower will be gratefully accepted.
If you would like to make a donation to help save the tower please send a cheque made payable to Bramford Parochial Church Council, Colin Elsdon, Church Treasurer, 64 Cedarcroft Road, Ipswich.
Donors who are taxpayers are asked to make a signed declaration with their address and amount donated so a further 28 per cent can be claimed.
