A 22-YEAR-old accused of setting a fire which engulfed a cinema will have his case heard at the crown court.
Lewis Filby, of Jubilee Avenue in Stowmarket, is charged with arson and recklessly endangering life following a blaze at Stowmarket's Regal Theatre on September 16.
This morning, dressed in a black jumper and a white shirt, Filby appeared before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds.
Because of the seriousness of the charge, which carried a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, his case was transferred to Ipswich Crown Court for a hearing on October 13.
Filby was released on bail until that date.
