FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a Clacton food factory today.
Crews were called to a fire in an extraction system at East Anglian Food Ingredients on Gorse Industrial Estate on Wade Road at 11.11am.
The fire is in an extraction cavity measuring 10 metres by 10 metres.
Chimney rods are being used to tackle the fire. An aerial ladder platform has been called in by crews to assist them in fighting the fire.
Firefighters are also using a powered saw to cut away the material so they can get to the source of the blaze.
