CLAYDON High had 61 per cent of students achieving five or more A* to C grades and 44per cent including English and maths.
Acting headteacher Graham Alcock said: “Overall we have maintained our standards from 2007, and in many subjects such as English and science the results have been very pleasing indeed.
“Eight of our students achieved grades A* or A in all 11 of their GCSEs, one of them achieving 11 A* grades.
“We are proud of all our students successes and I would like to thank the teachers for all their hard work, and the parents and carers for their valuable support.”
Holbrook High School today celebrated reaching the 70 per cent benchmark of students attaining five or more A*-Cs.
When English and maths are added to the results, the school also fared strongly at 62per cent.
Headteacher Rob Sherington said: “I am absolutely delighted that we are confirmed as a 70 per cent school and have an exceptional percentage for results including English and maths.
“I am pleased that gap is continuing to close.”
