SIX people armed with litter-picking spikes helped Ipswich park rangers clean up the estuary at Orwell Country Park.The group gave up part of their Sunday to fill an incredible 40 black bags of litter from the area – declared a site of special scientific interest because of its wildlife value.
SIX people armed with litter-picking spikes helped Ipswich park rangers clean up the estuary at Orwell Country Park.
The group gave up part of their Sunday to fill an incredible 40 black bags of litter from the area – declared a site of special scientific interest because of its wildlife value.
Park ranger Matt Berry thanked those who took part and said: "We had good weather and the volunteers seemed happy to have come.
"They know and love the area and they wanted to help keep this part of Ipswich clean."
