NICK Clegg has been named as the new leader of the Liberal Democrats after beating rival Chris Huhne.Mr Clegg won by just 511 votes after more than 41,000 votes were cast by party members.

Mr Clegg won by just 511 votes after more than 41,000 votes were cast by party members.
In a speech following the declaration, Clegg pledged to “change Britain and make it the Liberal country I believe the people want it to be”.
