Closure of A14 westbound on-slip at Copdock due to motorbike crash

A motorcyclist has come off his bike at a road leading onto a dual carriageway in Suffolk.

The on-slip for the A14 westbound from the A12 at the Copdock Interchange is closed while emergency services work at the scene.

The crash happened around 11.50am and did not involve any other vehicles, a spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said.

The East of England Ambulance Service were called and treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care.

The man’s injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.

The incident caused traffic delays in the area but the road reopened at 2.15pm.
