East Anglia’s weather will have a distinctly cloudy feel this morning as a band of cloud and rain passes across the region.

The weather system which has been sitting across the central part of England overnight will be slowly moving towards Suffolk and north Essex this morning bringing cloud and the chance of light rain this morning and into the early afternoon.

There will be a chance of some sunshine early on in the more southern parts of the region and later on in northern areas.

Temperatures will sit and around 14 or 15C, possibly reaching 17C in places with light but variable winds.

As the afternoon and evening goes on the band of cloudy, wet weather will move east, eventually clearing our coasts in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Overnight there is a change that some mist and fog patches may form inland while on the coast brisk northerly winds are expected.

Thursday itself looks to be drier and sunnier if a little cooler than today with temperatures only expected to reach around 14C.
