RAZZAMATAZZ is coming to Ipswich as jubilee celebrations get ready to take to the stage in true showtime style.

Music, dance and fun will be in abundance as the town prepares to welcome the Ipswich Co-op Juniors latest production.

The Jubilee Showtime will be at Ipswich Regent from June 5 to 8 and promises to be an all-singing, all-dancing performance to be enjoyed by all the family.

It will also mark the Juniors' 60th anniversary with a range of routines from past productions to accompany a host of numbers and dances specially written and choreographed for the show.

Musical director Nigel Virley has penned the new music for the performance while Kerry Sayer has ensured the cast of 96 will be dancing to perfection.

Pauline Walker, who has co-produced and directed the show with Jeannie Ingram, said: "It's a real variety show in the truest sense of the word.

"It's for adults and children, a real family show.

"We're doing routine from shows over the years so any ex-Co-op Juniors may see some numbers they were in.

"And there are 600 costumes, lots of effects and lots of colours."

The cast and crew have been working on the show since the end of the company's annual pantomime in January and once Jubilee Showtime completes its four day run, attention will turn to this year's panto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Jubilee Showtime is at Ipswich Regent from June 5 to 8 with performances at 7.15pm daily and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets are on sale now priced £6.50 to £9 and are available at the Central Box Office, Princes Street, Ipswich, by calling 01473 433100 or by logging on to www.ipswich-ents.co.uk
