IPSWICH'S Westbourne High School has held its first-ever prize-giving ceremony with former pupil and sculptor Sean Hedges-Quinn as guest of honour.The school honoured more than 100 pupils in years seven to 11 for success in individual subjects and for their overall contribution to Westbourne.
IPSWICH'S Westbourne High School has held its first-ever prize-giving ceremony with former pupil and sculptor Sean Hedges-Quinn as guest of honour.
The school honoured more than 100 pupils in years seven to 11 for success in individual subjects and for their overall contribution to Westbourne.
Headteacher Chris Edwards said: "The staff, governors and myself are delighted to be able to publicly recognise the hard work and efforts of our pupils.
"The involvement of local companies and individuals sponsoring the evening will make this a truly community event."
Businesses, organisations and individuals from throughout the area had given prizes to be presented on the evening, including BT Exact Technologies, Asda, B&Q, W H Smith, McDonalds and Bramford Road Methodist Church.
