COASTGUARD crews have been involved in two rescues on East Anglian waters.
The first took place at 12.02am yesterday when Walton Coastguard and an Essex ambulance crew was dispatched to the tug Arion near Harwich following reports of an injured crewman on board with suspected pelvic and leg injuries.
He was transferred to shore before being taken to Colchester Hospital.
At 9.17pm last night, Aldeburgh Coastguard was sent to Aldeburgh Yacht Club after Thames Coastguard received a 999 call reporting that a sailing dinghy and its occupant had not returned.
The dinghy sailor had left the club at noon and had last been seen just before dusk, three-and-a-half miles to the south in the River Alde.
The Aldeburgh inshore lifeboat carried out a search of the river and quickly found the dinghy and sailor, returning him to the yacht club.
