FITNESS fanatics in Felixstowe got together to raise money to make wishes come true.

The sweltering heat on Saturday was not enough to put off the 11 people who joined forces in a four-hour circathon at Felixstowe Leisure Centre.

They were raising money to give to the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity that grants wishes for critically and terminally ill children.

Fitness instructor at the centre, Mieke Hallway was responsible for setting up the workout marathon and took part along with her husband David.

She said: "It was very rigorous and extremely hot.

"We were doing it for four hours non stop and we were all really proud of ourselves."

Although Mrs Hallway does not yet know how much money was raised she is hoping the group can hit the £1,000 target.
