MOTHER-of-five, Wendy Jipson who killed her daughter when she drove a car with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system, has today walked free.

The 42-year-old, of Colchester Road, Lawford was given an 18-month community order by Chelmsford Crown Court after an appeal was lodged against the three-month jail sentence she was given at an earlier hearing.

Julia Kettle, 17, was killed when Jipson lost control of her car and hit a telegraph pole near Dedham last March.

Jipson has also been banned from driving for 24 months.
