SUFFOLK New College was back up and running today after it was forced to close due to a heating fault.

Students were sent away yesterday - the first day of the new term - because the classrooms were not warm enough.

Engineers worked to fix valves in the heating system, which supplies the college's new 40million building in Rope Walk.

Tracey Bailey, director of communications at Suffolk New College, said the college texted all the students to warn them of the closure.
