SUFFOLK College students will be working up an appetite for Britain's biggest all day breakfast.

Sizzling sausages, bacon and eggs will be on the menu to help raise funds for Cancer Research.

Suffolk College is just one of the venues taking part across the UK and it is hoped many more will take up the challenge.

Isla Wishart, 3-D design student is organising Suffolk College's all day breakfast which is being held on March 1.

She decided to help after losing two family members to cancer, including her dad, John.

Isla, 17, previously raised £500 in a sky dive for cancer research in 2000 and urged people to support the national event.

"This is something I feel strongly about. It is a good cause and I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through," she said.

Students buying their breakfast in the usual way will make a £1 minimum donation to the charity.

Last year the event raised £250 but it is hoped to top this amount with the charity breakfasts available in at least two of the refectories.

nPeople across Suffolk are urged to host a breakfast party, sponsored by Kelloggs, on March 1. Organisers get a free breakfast pack, recipe suggestions, collection boxes, posters and 500 g box of Kellogg's bran flakes. For more information telephone 01372 807 000.

nMeanwhile cancer Research is looking for more volunteers. If you can help telephone 01284 766311.
