Collision at Framlingham closes road

A TWO vehicle accident has closed the B1116 road at Framlingham today as emergency services are still at the scene.Firefighters from Framlingham and Saxmundham arrived at the scene at 6.15pm.

A TWO vehicle accident has closed the B1116 road at Framlingham today as emergency services are still at the scene.

Firefighters from Framlingham and Saxmundham arrived at the scene at 6.15pm to find that two vehicles had collided. The crews administered first aid to the casualties before the ambulance service arrived.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Trust said three ambulances and one paramedic officer were sent to the scene. It is believed there are two casualties with serious injuries.

A Suffolk police spokesman confirmed officers were still on the scene and traffic was being diverted as the road is currently closed.
