COMMUTERS travelling into London faced delays of up to 45 minutes this morning following a problem at various level crossings across Norfolk.

National Express East Anglia was forced to run a slower service while repairs were carried out on faulty emergency telephones at level crossings on the Norwich to Diss line.

This affected intercity services at rush hour, causing delays of up to 45 minutes and some cancellations. The problem has now been resolved, although there are still delays of up to 25 minutes as services get back to normal.
