IPSWICH-based company Roma's Trading will reach a milestone at this year's Suffolk Show, it has been announced.

IPSWICH-based company Roma's Trading will reach a milestone at this year's Suffolk Show, it has been announced.

They expect to sell their millionth Deco Bead - from a standing start 12 months ago.

This amounts to 5,000 packs of the product.

Backing the Evening Star's Fightback campaign Rosa Manteiga, owner of Roma's Trading said: “People really like the deco-beads, and are often surprised that they are not glass beads.

“We've been really pleased with how many we've sold - and at their low price people are happy to take a few packs to try them out. “They're perfect for the home, or for occasions like weddings and parties and offer a great alternative to just boring water in a clear vase.”

At the show, there will be a special pack containing the millionth Deco-Bead on the Roma's Trading stand. The person who buys that pack will receive a prize to celebrate this milestone.

Rosa added: “Deco beads are dried gel pieces that when soaked in water expand to many times their original size and look like glass beads that can be used with fresh flowers instead of water for a decorative look.

“They are available in ten glorious colours, last for eight weeks before drying out and can then be re-soaked and used again, offering excellent value for money.”

Roma's Trading are at this year's Suffolk Show with their stand just outside the Small Rural Business and Crafts marquee - site number 572.

It is an independent company owned by Rosa Manteiga. They attend around 50 shows per year(Garden, Craft, Wedding fairs)throughout the UK as well as selling Deco Beads and other products on line via their website www.romastrading.co.uk.
