Iona Barclay, 22, was in a coma for a month following the accident in Croatia, where she was taking part in a student car rally. The crash did not take place during the rally.
Gifted horsewoman Iona, from the Woodbridge area, is the daughter of Miranda Barclay, whose sister Madeleine has been married to Lord Lloyd Webber for 15 years.
After emerging from the coma, Iona is due to be flown back to the UK next week, where she will continue her recovery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
