POLICE are appealing for help tracing a teenager who has gone missing during a visit to his father's home in Newmarket.

Bartosz Grabowski, 18, came to the UK in September last year to stay with his father in Red Lodge.

In December they moved with his father's partner to an address in Windsor Road, Newmarket.

He was last seen leaving the house at 7.30am on December 29, and was reported missing on Friday.

Detective Inspector Karl Smith said: “We are extremely concerned for the welfare of Bartosz.

“He doesn't know anyone in the UK other than his father and his father's partner and does not speak English.

“He does not appear to have taken many possessions with him, he has not had a job since arriving in the country four months ago and has no access to money.

“I would urge Bartosz, or anyone who knows where he is, to contact police as his family are anxious to know his whereabouts.”

Bartosz is white, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with short dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue Nike hooded jacket, blue jeans with designer patches and cream/white trainers.

Anyone who has seen Bartosz or who has been in contact with him should call the duty sergeant at Newmarket police station on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
