POLICE are hunting a man who duped an OAP out of money.An elderly lady in Ipswich was visited by a man who said he carried out some work for her.After tricking her he subsequently stole a quantity of cash from her home.

POLICE are hunting a man who duped an OAP out of money.

An elderly lady in Ipswich was visited by a man who said he carried out some work for her.

After tricking her he subsequently stole a quantity of cash from her home.

The incident happened at around 12.30pm yesterday at an address in Britannia Road.

A 78-year-old lady opened her door to a man who stated she owed him some money for some work he had carried out.

The man followed the lady into her kitchen and helped himself to a quantity of cash which was left on the side. He then left the house.

The offender is described as a white male, 40 years old, 5ft 3in, dark brown hair and medium build. He wore black trousers and a black blazer.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area or maybe recognises the offender from the description.
