POLICE are today hunting two conmen who duped an elderly lady in Combs Ford out of cash and jewellery.The theft occurred between 6.15pm and 6.25pm on Thursday.

POLICE are today hunting two conmen who duped an elderly lady in Combs Ford out of cash and jewellery.

The theft occurred between 6.15pm and 6.25pm on Thursday.

The two men have called at pensioner's home claiming to be from the water board.

One asked her to run her kitchen taps and whilst occupied there, another entered the property

When the woman discovered the second man was not outside she challenged the first, who made a call on his mobile phone.

The second man appeared and they left.

A black saloon car was seen to pull away from outside the property at around the same time.

A safe was later found to be missing, containing cash and jewellery.

The first man is described as white, of large build, 5ft 7in tall, around 30 years old with an Irish accent and was wearing a blue woolly hat, a navy jacket, navy trousers and gloves.

The second male is described as white, smaller than the first, with wrinkled, tanned skin.

He wore the same clothing as the first man.
