A prisoner who absconded while on leave from an Ipswich medical facility has been found.
Elsom was last seen on Lindbergh Road at about 1.50pm on Monday September 17 but was found in Ipswich earlier this afternoon.
He has been arrested and taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
The 32-year-old was on therapeutic leave from a medical facility in Ipswich but failed to return to staff escorting him.
He is serving an indeterminate sentence for robbery and assaults with the intention to rob.
Officers were concerned for Elsom's welfare and were warning people not to approach him.
A police spokesman thanked the public and media for their help with the appeal.
