SPIRALLING numbers of serious car accidents in Suffolk today prompted traffic cops to urge motorists to take more care on the county roads.Their warning comes amid fears from traffic chiefs that drivers are ignoring basic road safety messages.

Their warning comes amid fears from traffic chiefs that drivers are ignoring basic road safety messages.

In a bid to combat the issue and on the eve of National Road Safety Week, the county's force has renewed its RoadSafe appeal.

And a special road safety course, attended by The Evening Star's Josh Warwick has shown in graphic detail how drivers would be crazy to:

n. Drive without seatbelts

n. Drive while above the drink-drive alcohol limit
