POLICE are appealing for help from people who may have seen something fishy going on in Felixstowe.They are investigating the theft of a number of items from fishing equipment from underneath a caravan at the Suffolk Sands holiday park in Manor Terrace.

POLICE are appealing for help from people who may have seen something fishy going on in Felixstowe.

They are investigating the theft of a number of items from fishing equipment from underneath a caravan at the Suffolk Sands holiday park in Manor Terrace.

"We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen someone carrying fishing rods in that area on Saturday night or Sunday morning last weekend," said a police spokeswoman.

"Also, we need to hear if anyone has been offered any fishing items for sale."

The thief got away with a Mitchell 4/10 reel, a Mitchell bait runner reel, a collapsible rod and reel, a 10ft Markhams carp rod, and a large plywood box containing other fishing items.

They went missing between 10.30pm on March 16 and 7.30am on March 17. Anyone with information should contact Felixstowe police on 01473 383300.
