bramford: Parish councillors will pass their concerns and recommendations over a proposed travellers’ site to a planning department.
A meeting organised by Bramford Parish Council was held on Monday, allowing residents to voice their opinions over a proposed travellers’ site.
Chairman of the parish council, John Hooker, said police had to be called after a member of the public began shouting out.
He said: “It was a packed meeting, and no one could really get heard.
“After the meeting, the parish council met and we are now preparing to pass to Mid Suffolk some issues about the application which we want them to have clarified.”
Traveller Joe Jones submitted a planning application with the hopes of putting up three static caravans and one touring caravan on a site off Loraine Way.
Police had to be called to remove a heckler from the packed meeting. The meeting descended into chaos after a heckler refused demands to leave the venue and resisted attempts by community support officers to eject him.
