A BARHAM couple have made a desperate appeal for the safe return of their missing dogs.
David and Maureen Westgate noticed the two miniature dachshunds disappearance on Monday afternoon.
Mr Westgate said: “It has really upset us both and my wife has barely slept or eaten since it happened. We've notified everyone who knows the dogs and done all we can to get them back.”
The Westgates, both 75, believe the rare dogs were snatched from their enclosed garden and are therefore reluctant to offer a reward for their return.
Mr Westgate said: “We would offer a reward but we think that if these people know they can get money from us it may encourage them to do it to someone else.”
The 11-year-old bitch and six-year-old dog are cream and brown-cream in colour.
