ROCK and pop stars of the future step forward!

Places are still available today for budding musicians to study at Suffolk New College.

Students are being invited to apply to study the National Diploma in Music Performance by college bosses.

Music department lecturer Jo King said: “It is a fantastic course and it is really a course for the rock and pop stars of the future.

“We cater to all musical tastes and explore all sorts of music.

“As well as the performance work, our students learn about song writing, and composition, music theory and music business.

“It is everything you need to work as a performer in the music industry.”

The two year course includes a number of opportunities to perform to the public and many students form bands and are enthusiastic members of the Ipswich music scene.

Many students also make use of www.lovemusic24.co.uk a website devoted to the Ipswich and Suffolk music scene.

Miss King added: “It is a two year course jam packed with performance opportunities for the students, be at it the Love Music Festival or any other concerts, gigs and events we do.

“If you love music and want to immerse yourself in it all day every day with a team of tutors who are working professionally in the industry then this is the course for you.”
