TWO people were trapped in a crash which caused delays on the A12 today.
A Ford Focus and a white Iveco box van collided on the north-bound carriageway between Hatfield Peverel and Witham at 8.15am.
Fire crews released the people involved. The 27-year-old driver of the Focus, from Chelmsford, was flown by air ambulance to Queen's Hospital in Romford suffering from serious head injuries, although they were not life-threatening.
Another man, in his early 30s, suffered a knee injury and was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, by ambulance.
