POLICE have closed a stretch of the A143 following a serious road collision involving a motorbike and a car.
POLICE have closed a stretch of the A143 following a serious road collision involving a motorbike and a car.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Cutter's Lane, near Ixworth, at 10.25am.
On arrival, paramedics found the male rider had been thrown from his motorbike and was lying in a ditch.
He was taken to the West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, with serious leg injuries.
The road has been closed while an investigation is carried out.
