Crash leaves road blocked

TWO car drivers have been involved in a crash in Ipswich which left Norwich Road blocked for 45 minutes.

The accident happened shortly before 10pm yesterday at the junction of Lower Dales View Road and Norwich Road when a blue Ford Sierra was involved in a collision with a metallic-blue Hyundai saloon.

The accident happened shortly before 10pm yesterday at the junction of Lower Dales View Road and Norwich Road when a blue Ford Sierra was involved in a collision with a metallic-blue Hyundai saloon.

A Suffolk Accident Rescue Service doctor who attended the scene said the 45-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was

trapped in her vehicle for about 30 minutes. She was released by the Suffolk Fire Service who cut the roof off her vehicle. She was taken to the Ipswich Hospital by ambulance but her injuries were not believed to be

serious.

The 27-year-old male driver of the Sierra was not hurt.

Norwich Road was blocked in both

directions while the emergency services removed the cars for 45 minutes.
