THE Evening Star has this afternoon launched a memorial fund in the wake of the horrific crash which claimed the lives of two women and seriously injured a third in Ipswich early today.
In a split second, as a result of this crash, three devastated families have had their lives changed forever and our thoughts and prayers are with them through this extremely difficult time.
Our thoughts are also with the many people who tried to help in the aftermath of the crash from the police and paramedics to the members of the public, all of whom are likely to have been affected by the tragedy.
Our memorial fund will be given to the families of the two women, who have not yet been named, to buy something of their choice in their memory.
The Star has already started off the fund with a substantial donation.
