A 21-year-old man was killed following a crash near Beccles last night has been named by police.

Nathan Beglarian, from Worlingham, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident after the gold Vauxhall Corsa he was travelling in left the road and hit a tree. Another man remains in a critical condition.

The collision happened on Sotterley Road in Hulver, three miles south west of Lowestoft, as the two men were travelling southbound at just before 10pm.

The second man, also 21, was taken to the James Paget Hospital, Gorleston with serious injuries and was later transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital. The man is believed to be from the local area.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the accident to cut the men from the wreckage of the car, which was the only vehicle involved in the incident. Police officers and fire crews from Wrentham, Beccles and Lowestoft attended the scene.
