Delays are being caused on the county’s roads this morning because of two crashes.

There were severe problems on the northbound A12 because the carriageway had been blocked by an incident.

It happened before the junction for East Bergholt (J31) and reportedly involved a car and a motorbike.

An air ambulance was called to the scene after it was reported the female pinion passenger on the motorbike had suffered a broken leg.

There was stationary traffic in the area for some time after the incident happened at 11.20am, but one lane has now reopened.

The other incident happened on the A14 south of Ipswich between the junctions for Nacton Road (J57) and the northern section of the A12 towards Martlesham (J58).

One lane was closed on the eastbound carriageway with traffic moving slowly through the area as a result.
