Two crews from Dovercourt were called after a blaze started in Garland Road, Parkstone Ramsay.
Crews administered oxygen therapy to a 21-year-old woman following a fire in the kitchen of her first floor flat.
The fire was already out on the arrival of crews, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus then checked the flat to ensure it was safe.
Once paramedics arrived at the scene, the woman was left in their care.
