Fire crews are currently at the scene of a fire at Felixstowe Academy.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the school, on Hawkes Lane, following reports of a fire in a server room.
All staff and pupils had been evacuated from the site, and no-one had been injured.
Two fire crews from Felixstowe attended used two sets of breathing apparatus and 15 dry powder extinguishers to put the fire out.
A spokesman for Felixstowe Academy said the building had been evacuated smoothly and safely with all pupils and staff accounted for.
The incident had involved a small fire in a system support area where the school’s computer server is stored.
He said: “The academy community evacuated the building promptly and safely.
“The academy was attended by the Suffolk Fire Service who promptly extinguished the fire and ensured that the premises were safe.”
Crews requested the use of a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke logging, which was sent on an appliance from Ipswich East.
The incident had been brought under control by 2.40pm.
