FIRE CREWS tackled a fire in a derelict house in Colchester.
Engines were called to Berechurch Hall Road, at about 1.45pm.
On arrival, crews found the derelict two storey detached house on Berechurch Hall Road well alight.
Station Officer Holliday said: “We have been to a number of small fires at the same house but this was far bigger, engulfing most of the property and causing extensive damage.
The service received a lot of calls about this fire from people in the flats overlooking the building.
Crews did an excellent job in fighting this fire which we believe to have been started deliberately."
