A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with three burglaries, robbing a restaurant and stealing a car.
Antonio Wells, of no fixed address, appeared at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court, in Ipswich, on Thursday via video link from Martlesham Heath police investigation centre.
Wells was charged with robbery at a restaurant in Duke Street, Ipswich, on Thursday, February 8, burglary at business premises in Wentworth Road and Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, on the same day, and burglary of a dwelling in Robeck Road, Ipswich, at some point between February 8 and the following day. He was also charged with aggravated vehicle taking on the same date.
Robbery can only be tried in after a preliminary hearing in the crown court, where all charges will be heard again on March 22.
Wells gave no indication of plea and was remanded in custody.
