STARVING and near death, Patch the border collie was so weak he struggled to bark.
Today his owner Lisa Clarke, of Lambeth Close, Ipswich, is facing a possible prison sentence, after pleading guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to the two-year-old dog.
William Jackson, who prosecuted Clarke on behalf of the RSPCA, told South East Suffolk Magistrates the 27-year-old failed to look after Patch by not feeding him properly, causing the dog to be pitifully thin.
