Youngsters became modern-day Sherlock Holmes as they got a hands-on experience of forensic science at a library school holiday event.
The activity at Gainsborough Library yesterday afternoon saw children don protective clothing and dust for fingerprints in the mock crime scene.
James Powell, spokesman for Suffolk Libraries, said: “Children had a great time at Gainsborough Library this afternoon at two fascinating forensic science workshops run by Kinetic Adventure Centre.
“Kinetic is an interactive science and maths centre which has been providing a range of activities in some of the county’s libraries, including a pop-up planetarium in Stowmarket this Friday.
“Their activities are educational and engaging and are proving very popular with younger visitors to libraries.”
