ONE man died and roads across Suffolk were blocked in a spate of serious accidents across the county today.
Suffolk was effectively cut off during the early rush hour as both the A14 at Haughley and the A12 at Dedham were blocked.
In a separate accident two police officers were injured near Southwold.
The road chaos happened on the day the government was unveiling its proposals aimed at cutting congestion.
It emerged that the proposal could see motorists charged up to 10p a mile to use roads in Ipswich.
