DANCE East, the National Dance Agency for Suffolk and the East of England, launch its new season of classes and workshops next week.

Classes from ballet to yoga, t'ai chi to jazz and much more, continue from January in Ipswich at Northgate Arts Centre.

In the districts of Babergh, St Edmundsbury, Mid Suffolk and Forest Heath, dance clubs and creative dance classes are on offer for young people.

Classes begin the week of January 7 and are an excellent way to get fit.

Adult ballet on Monday nights offers participants a chance to keep fit and graceful.

Parent and Tots invites mums, dads and carers to come along with their one to four year olds to participate in a fun and sociable class in which young ones take their first steps exploring movement and dance in a playful atmosphere.

Various workshops offer people the chance to try out new dance and movement styles.

This season Badejo Arts come to Ipswich for the first time to lead an African Dance Workshop at the Wolsey Studio on Saturday, January 28. They will also be performing at the Wolsey Theatre on the same day.

There is chance to try out yoga, a popular form of exercise, either in a weekly class with Eileen Fletcher on Mondays or in a special workshop on Saturday, March 9, with London's William Robertson.
