Crowds are expected outside the Ipswich Regent theatre as fans queue to secure their chance to see popular Irish crooner Daniel O'Donnell.

Mr O'Donnell, who has performed regularly at the venue for a number of years, last performed in 2007 and his return show is expected to sell out in a matter of hours.

Regent manager David Mansfield said the singer is hugely popular and enjoys a large following in Suffolk.

He said: “Daniel O'Donnell is extremely generous to fans and we are looking forward to welcoming him back to the Regent.

“His act is top notch quality entertainment and his show remains one of our most popular nights of the year.”

Tickets go on sale at the venue at 9am with tickets available on the telephone at 9.30am and on the website at 10am.

Mr Manfield said: “Daniel is a class act and we are expecting a sell out show.”
