The Copdock and Washbrook Open Gardens event will take place on Sunday, June 18 this year.

The event, which has been running alternate years for the last three decades, features a host of gardens in the village opening up to visitors from 1-6pm.

Around 15 gardens will be open, all within a short walk of around a mile, with strawberries and cream tea being served towards the centre of the village.

Alternatively, the village pub The Brook will be serving Sunday lunch and drinks.

A spokeswoman from the event said: “Some of these village gardens are absolutely unique, and quite beautiful.

“Although some are small it is very nice for people to access them.”

Entry is £5 to all of the gardens, with an additional £5 for afternoon tea.

All proceeds will be going towards the restoration and maintenance of St Peter’s Church in the village.
