IPSWICH: Sixteen years have passed since the unsolved murder of Karen Hales, but time has done little to staunch the tears of her family.
Today, on the eve of yet another anniversary of her stabbing at home in Lavenham Road, the 21-year-old's daughter, Emily, has spoken of her heartbreak for the first time.
Now aged 17, Emily - who was with her mother when she was killed on November 21, 1993 - said: “I think about my mum every day. I love her and wish she was here.
“I still live in hope that someone will be caught. If anyone knows something about her murder then please help, because I have been without a mum for so many years and it's horrible.
“It hurts so much that I can't explain it.”
