Much fun has been had on the snow-covered hills of Christchurch Park over the past week, and it was a similar picture during a snowy snap in February 2005.

The park is always a popular choice for those living in or close to the town centre, with its slopes steep enough to offer a great day of sledging.

The Beast from the East gripped the region in full force last week, with forecasters saying it was the coldest temperatures the county had seen since 2013, causing hundreds of school closures and children eager to make the most of their snow day.
