A DRIVER who fled the scene of a crash which killed an 80-year-old man was today jailed for four months.Christopher Thomson admitted failing to stop after an accident, driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence over the crash which left Ronald Baxter dead.

Christopher Thomson admitted failing to stop after an accident, driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence over the crash which left Ronald Baxter dead.
During a sentencing hearing at South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court today Thomson, formerly of Wells Close, Ipswich, was jailed and disqualified from driving for five years.
Through his solicitor Graham Skippen, Thomson told the court “whatever I get, I deserve”.
