A MAN who caused the death of five people in a horror crash on the A12 has today been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.
Ben Morphey of High Street, Yoxford was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court today after pleading guilty earlier this year to five charges of causing death by careless driving while unfit due to drink.
Lowestoft teenage sisters Claire and Jennifer Stoddart were killed in the accident last July along with their friend 18-year-old Carla Took as they drove back from Ipswich following a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert.
Morphey's passengers Kim Abbott and Simon Bonner both from Yoxford also died in the crash.
