THE latest man to be killed in a horrific spate of fatal accidents on East Anglian roads came from Essex, it has emerged.

Police named the man as Ian Wilsdon, 58, who lived in Witham. He was killed in a single vehicle accident on the B1115 at Hitcham, near Stowmarket, on Tuesday.

His red Mercedes car is thought to have left the road at about 3.50pm and crashed into a ditch, where it was found on its roof.

Mr Wilsdon was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released any more of his details, but it is thought he lived alone with family and had family in Yorkshire.

His death was the sixth in just 11 days on Suffolk's roads.
