Death of man struck by train

AN INVESTIGATION is under way today following the death of a man who was hit by a train near Ipswich.

Police were called to the railway line in the area of Bobbits Lane at Wherstead just after midnight today and found the body of a man, thought to be aged in his 40s.

Police were called to the railway line in the area of Bobbits Lane at Wherstead just after midnight today and found the body of a man, thought to be aged in his 40s.

British Transport Police, which is now handling the investigation, said at this point the man's death was not being treated as suspicious.
